Turning second hand goods into first class care

We need your unwanted items

By donating your unwanted items, you will be supporting Mercy Hospice Auckland to provide incredible hospice care to the people who need it most. Last year, your unwanted items raised over $1.2 million towards providing this free of charge service to our patients and families living in the Auckland Central area.

We are completely reliant on our local community for stock and are so grateful for the quality items we receive. The goods we receive are priced and re-sold within our own stores enabling us to be a truly community based retailer. To donate simply take your items along to your local Mercy Hospice shop

What to donate

Mercy Hospice stores accept donations of clean, good quality goods, including:

  • Women's, men's and children's clothing
  • Shoes, handbags, jewellery and accessories
  • Homeware –from vases and photo frames to ornaments and tea sets
  • Furniture (Ellerslie Furniture Shop only)
  • Electrical appliances
  • Books, toys, CDs, vinyl records and DVDs

Ellerslie Furniture Shop welcomes donations of good quality furniture, home-ware and small electrical appliances, clean and in working order (less than five years old please).

Call Sione (pictured) to enquire about our collection service

House lots are particularly welcome and a collection service is available. Please contact our distribution manager on 021-337-830.

We are unable to accept food items.

If you've got clothing and related items to donate to us, it's helpful to prepare them in a way that will ensure that we can sell them so they can be enjoyed by others. Donations that are broken, dirty or do not comply with consumer safety standards cannot be readily sold in our shops. We try to recycle theses items, but often the items end up in the waste. This costs us money. Please consider this when donating to us.

No donations on Sunday, thank you.
